I have really enjoyed your blog since I found it several years ago, but I am losing the relational understanding of your words that I sought in the first place. I found your site when I was looking for weight loss evidence–pictures, a starting place for change process that I need to see and witness. Seeing a person navigate their new life changes is what I crave, someone who is struggling or moving along in life with history that draws me, that’s missing.

Looking at pictures of food is great–and they are beautiful–even the bathtub got me wondering why–not something I ask about other websites. What is missing is you. I don’t need a picture book or an album of your life, but I need to see the person who is making these changes so that I can see how it looks day to day, and maybe I can accept more of myself too. I don’t imagine every day is a cover shoot, and that’s what I’d like confirmation of.

You have an extraordinary life I think, and I don’t need A Kardashian display of all of it, but the thing that I thought was different about your writing than all the other people writing about trauma and weight and life, was that you seem interested in more of the path forward, not just requiring yourself to do so, complaining about the way it feels, but finding joy in the changes themselves.

Change is very difficult and so I feel that I need a map, not that it would be my map, but that I could see how someone else has mapped these changes for themselves with networking , work, friends, and family in a real–not Martha Stewart Living-without-loving kind of way.
